Members of ACQA need to make a certain level of commitment to ensure that you get the best results from your investment and membership of the association.
Information Technology
The technology requirements for accessing the ACQA website are minimal.
All that is needed is computer connected to the internet with an up to date web browser. To ensure that you get the best out of your experience, a broadband connection is recommended.
It doesn't matter what operating system you use as long as it is recent and it should also be kept updated for your own protection:
- Microsoft Windows
- Linux variants
- Macintos
Use of Browser versions is a matter of personal preference or organisational policy: Recommended browsers, and the only officially supported ones are the latest version of either:
and are available to be downloaded for free. You may need Administrator Access to your PC to upgrade or install a new browser.
Human Resources
Organisations will need to commit time for staff members to contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program. Specifically, this will include such duties as:
- have an understanding of the quality improvement process
- undertake education on how ACQA works and be able to demonstrate the program during accreditation visits
- be able to objectively undertake internal audits on behalf of your organisation
- have enough computer competency to enter audits, indicators and registers on the website
- be able to prepare action plans to address any identified deficits
- be able to coordinate the follow-up process
- be able to evaluate impact of actions taken
- be able to prepare ACQA reports for meetings
- be able to attend networking meetings for ongoing education on the ACQA program
- be able to participate in online forum discussions
