Committee Structure6.1.1. The affairs of the association shall be managed and controlled by a committee which in addition to any powers and authorities conferred by these rules may exercise all such powers and do all such things as are within the objects of the association, and are not by the Act or by these rules required to be done by the association in general meeting.
6.2.1. The committee shall be comprised of a chairperson, secretary, treasurer and five committee members.
The Management Committee This committee will serve until the Annual General Meeting to be held in August 2008.

Terry Wilby (Hills Mallee Southern Aged Care Facility)
Terry offers more than 3 decades of accomplishment-laden experience in health and the aged care industry and is a Registered General Nurse and Midwife. Beginning his career in the health industry, he developed a strong interest in management at an executive level, quality, developing staff at all levels and learning about ageing.
Currently holds the position of Executive Officer/Director of Nursing at the Tailem Bend District Hospital Incorporating the Hills Mallee Southern Aged Care Facility.
Terry earned his qualifications at Flinders University, Adelaide South Australia and holds a Diploma of Applied Science and a Bachelor Degree in Management.

Louise Absalom
As an adult educator (TAFE SA – Pt. Augusta Campus, offering Certificate Four and Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure), Louise contributes to ACQA in a positive manner by offering a link between ACQA, Tafe (and therefore National Training Packages), the student body and residential aged care facilities. Her role also includes involvement in vocational work placement across various certificates. Within these roles, Louise has a strong commitment to promoting the ethos of the quality process.
Louise's focus within aged care is clearly on Lifestyle and Leisure, and this has been supported by her completion of the Diploma of Health Science (Leisure and Health) through Charles Sturt University.
Louise is currently enrolled within the Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Learning (Uni SA) and the Graduate Diploma of Applied Gerontology (Flinders University).

Judith Pymer (Wimmera Health Care Group)
Judith brings to ACQA a wealth of experience from within both the aged and acute sectors. She currently holds the position of Residential Services Manager within the Wimmera Health Care Group, and is based at Horsham Victoria. Judith is also an Aged Care Quality Assessor, and has qualifications in Social Gerontology.

Jan is the Executive Director Aged Care of West Wimmera Health Service .

Darren Pike
Darren has worked in the health industry since 1984 and is a Registered General and Mental Health Nurse, holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Masters Degree in Health Service Management.
Darren is an Individual Member with ACQA and has assisted ACQA with management support beginning with helping ACQA become an Incorporated Association and is also currently undertaking the chief executive officer role.
Darren currently consults to the Health, Aged Care and Disability Sectors particularly providing assistance with planning and management.
