Enhanced Indicator Graphs Released

We are pleased to announce that the Indicator Graphs have received a significant upgrade and after extensive testing are now available for members to access. The enhancements will enable members to drill down into your indicator data to see incident rates for any element of the clinical indicators.

When first visiting the Indicator Summary Graphs page, you will now see many more options available to you. Take the time to understand what each of these can do for you to gain maximum value.

As well as being able to choose from the existing Site list, Year, Month and Indicator, you can now choose to run reports on selected Residents. You can choose just one particular resident if you want to explore patterns of incidents for that person, or you may want to choose only currently active residents in your facility. [TIP: to choose more than one resident at a time, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on resident ID numbers]

Note that for any of the Options Lists that display multiple options, if you don't select any from the list, then the report is run on all the options.

IFC Indicator:
When viewing results for the IFC Indicator, you can now drill down and select the Type of Infection Identified (choose from one or multiple) and you can also choose the status of the infection. For example you may want to view only New incidents of Gastroenteritis.

Falls Indicator:
When viewing results for the Falls Indicator, there are no additional options to select from.

Medication Incident:
When viewing results for the Medication Incident, you can select the Type of Incident involved (again choose from one or multiple). To make it easy for you, we have also added a button titled "All except Omission of Signature" which selects all of the incident types but excludes Omission of Signature.

Skin Integrity Indicator:
When viewing results for the Skin Integrity Indicator, you can select the Nature of Skin Problem (choose from one or multiple problems) and also you can choose the Status or Outcome you wish to examine. For example you may want to run a report showing all types of New Stage 1 and 2 Pressure Sores.

A lot of development has gone into delivering these enhanced filtering options so we hope you find considerable value in them and as always we look forward to your feedback.

It would be great if you could discuss in the Member Forums how you are using the new features to help others understand how they can also benefit from them. If you discover any bugs in the new graphs please send an email to support@acqa.org.au explaining in detail what you had selected and what happened.
