Ararat Retirement Village's management committee is urging people to get behind an aged care national day of action on April 6.
Committee president Eric Van Opstal said the day of action for Victorian Association of Health and Extended Care members was to highlight concerns over the state of aged care funding.
"Many in the aged care industry believe the findings and recommendations are importunate for the government in an election year, and a funding crisis is imminent," Mr Van Opstal said.
The association is calling for a $10 per person, per day increase in care subsidies across the board. These subsidies should also be indexed in the future. It believes this increase is required to keep care providers operational and viable.
